
Public Hearing
The governing boards for Escondido Charter High School (ECHS) and Heritage K-8 Charter School (HK8) will hold a public hearing on May 26, 2021 at 5:30 PM in the ECHS Library, located at 1868 E. Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92027.. The purpose of this hearing is to allow for public comment and board discussion upon both the Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant plan and the Local Control and Accountability Plan.
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant is part of the return to in-person learning funded by Assembly Bill 86 in March of 2021. It provides funding, to help schools better support students, in several areas including extending instructional learning time, accelerating progress to close learning gaps, and additional academic services for students, The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a tool for local educational agencies to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to improve student outcomes. These three-year plans explain how ECHS and HK8 intend to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities.
