Welcome

On behalf of the faculty and support staff, It is my pleasure to welcome you to Escondido Charter High School. Being among the oldest and most successful charter schools in California, Escondido Charter High School has a tremendous legacy of high academic achievement, innovation, and service to our community.

As the Executive Director of Escondido Charter High School, it is truly an honor and pleasure to serve our growing family of students and parents. Over the past twenty-one years, ECHS has stayed true to its original mission and vision and continues to provide a rigorous academic experience in a safe and structured learning environment. Over the years, we have created a vibrant academic community with a state-of-the-art science program, performing arts, fire and police programs, numerous curricular clubs, athletics, robotics and new engineering courses. Escondido Charter High School provides students with a comprehensive high school experience.

Our world-class teaching staff and dedicated support staff serve over 900 students in grades 9-12. ECHS offers different learning options for students based on their unique learning profile. The Traditional Learning option offers a comprehensive, full-time classroom experience where students attend a full school day five days a week. The Flex Learning option offers a more personalized experience where students have a modified learning scheduled tailored to meet their academic goals. Both learning options are designed to prepare students to be competitive in college and to make a meaningful contribution to our community.

At Escondido Charter High School, we believe parents are the primary educators of their children. Therefore, we encourage parents to be involved in their child’s education by participating in school activities, volunteering their time, and supporting the Parent Volunteer Organization.

Thank you for your interest in Escondido Charter High School. We look forward to serving your family,

Sincerely,

Shawn Roner
